Colorado School of Mines Partners with Textbook Brokers to Elevate Campus Retail and Course Materials
Golden, CO | May 31, 2024
Textbook Brokers is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Colorado School of Mines to manage the university’s campus bookstore and expand retail and academic offerings for the Mines community.
Under this new partnership, Textbook Brokers has been selected to operate Mines’ on-campus bookstore. The store will transition to focus on spirit and apparel products, while course materials including rental, inclusive access, used, new, digital, and OER formats will be offered through Textbook Brokers’ online platform.
The bookstore, located on the first floor of the Ben H. Parker Student Center, is set to reopen on July 8 with refreshed offerings and a new name. A grand opening celebration for students, faculty, staff, and alumni is planned for the fall semester.
“Throughout the selection process, it was evident that Textbook Brokers is an organization that values creativity, innovation, and authentic community partnerships,” said Dr. Braelin Pantel, Vice President of Student Life at Colorado School of Mines. “The campus community can expect to see new offerings and new ways to partner with the store in the near future.”
With a growing network of more than 36 higher education partnerships nationwide, Textbook Brokers brings proven retail solutions and innovative course materials programs to campuses across the country. This collaboration will enhance the Mines experience by providing students with more affordable and convenient access to textbooks and learning resources, alongside a robust selection of Mines-branded apparel, gifts, school supplies, and custom merchandise.
Textbook Brokers will also manage the university’s online retail store, offering a customized shopping experience that serves students, faculty, staff, and alumni both in person and online. Mines faculty members will benefit from a streamlined course materials platform featuring advanced search tools and detailed format and pricing information.
“Our StudentFIRST initiative, together with Mines’ dedication to academic excellence in engineering and applied science, presents a fantastic opportunity to enhance the Mines brand and strengthen school spirit within the community,” said Jimmy Batcheller, President of Textbook Brokers. “We look forward to elevating the student experience and supporting the dynamic educational environment Mines is known for.”
